Here, two hunters set aside their bows and arrows, and one removes his woven sandals. The other props a makeshift ladder against a tree, allowing the barefoot man to ascend. Above, a bird—likely an eagle—has just delivered a lizard to its two chicks. Might these two men<br>be the mythic twins identified on other Mimbres bowls?
