In his left hand he holds a “wish-granting jewel” that allows him to aid people with their requests for salvation. His right hand holds a “six-ring staff” that, upon being struck on the ground, dispels worldly delusions. The sculpture’s head was carved from a different block of wood than the body; the hands and feet were also produced separately.
