By then, study of the many moods of nature mirrored a growing interest in scientific inquiry and an intellectual fascination with change and its causes. Here, Boudin makes use of the Dutch model, pioneered by Jacob van Ruysdael, of a low horizon line and vast sky, minimizing the land in order to render more fully the artist’s observation of the passage of clouds across the sky.</P></SPAN>","remarks":"K4-6 Rotation July 2014"}],"datebegin":1844,"sortnumber":"2013  121","published_date":"2026-02-11 13:36:35.824998","objectid":94054,"dimensions":"43.8 × 61 × 5.1 cm (17 1/4 × 24 × 2 in.)","on_view":false}
